MonitorWare Agent can collect events, monitor systems and services, evaluate conditions and automatically respond when something requires attention. Its flexible architecture makes it suitable for a wide range of monitoring, logging and automation tasks.

Know when something needs attention.
MWAgent can monitor events and system conditions and automatically notify administrators when defined conditions are met.
Example: A critical Windows event occurs or a monitored service stops. MWAgent detects the condition and sends an email notification.

Event Archiving
Keep the events that matter.
Collected events can be filtered and stored in files or databases for later troubleshooting, reporting or analysis.
Example: Windows Event Logs and Syslog messages from multiple systems are collected and written to central storage.

Use RuleSets and filters to select, modify and route events according to your own processing requirements.
Example: Routine messages are stored locally while important events are forwarded to a central system and trigger additional actions.

Active probes and system monitors can continuously check devices, network services, disk space, Windows services and other operating conditions.
Example: MWAgent periodically checks a server. If repeated probes fail, an event is generated and processed by the Rule Engine.

Rules can trigger programs, scripts or other actions automatically when a specific event or condition occurs.
Example: A monitor detects a problem and MWAgent starts a script or program designed to handle the condition.

Events can be forwarded to other systems using supported protocols and actions, allowing MWAgent to operate as part of a larger logging or monitoring environment.
Example: Selected events are forwarded by Syslog or sent to an HTTP endpoint while other events remain stored locally.
