  • Property engine: Added new static property %localhostname% which
    contains the local computer name.

Bugfixes

  • EventLog Monitor V2: Fixed an issue losing the first record LastRecord
    was resetted.
  • EventLog Monitor V2: Fixed minor issues in new caching code.
  • Queue Engine: Fixed an issue in the Action retry logic which caused the
    same information to be reprocessed again.
  • Property Engine: Fixed an issue initializing the socket subsystem if no
    network action/service was used related to the toipv4address/toipv6address
    options.
  • Engine: Fixed multiple memory leaks when a name was resolvedto an IP
    address.
  • File Action: Fixed a startup handling issue if circular logging was
    enabled and logfiles were already full.

MonitorWare Agent 13.0 released

We are proud to announce the next major release of MonitorWare Agent, version 13.
Most importantly this version fully supports Windows Server 2019, enhanced cross-platform and security
support as well as provides even better performance.
Windows Server 2019 is becoming main-stream in many data centers. The new version now fully
supports the new Windows including all updated libraries. Native JSON expression of Windows Event Log data
enables easy integration into many other solutions. Security for the web request action has been
enhanced by introducing optional support for TLS. Performance has even more been tuned all over
the product, with huge wins inside the Event Log Monitor service. The configuration can now
automatically be updated from a central configuration repository. This option is very useful for large
deployments, especially with remote sites.

MonitorWare Agent 12.1 released

Adiscon is proud to announce the 12.1 release of MonitorWare Agent.

While this is a minor release, it offers considerable security
improvements for syslog. Now, when TLS/SSL is configured, the user has
full control over TLS options like ciphers, hashes and protocols.
There are GUI settings for the most common options, but also the
ability to provide in-depth detail configuration of each and every
aspect via TLS library specific strings. The insecure protocol list
has been updated and the SSLv2 protocol is now disabled by
default.

The RELP protocol has been upgraded to the newest version and now also
supports TLS/SSL.

The LogNorm Action has been hardened and supports / processes Array types now

The property replacer has also been enhanced: it now supports the new
“cef” option to convert properties into a valid McAffee CEF FORMAT
string.

  • File Monitor: Added new options “Process rest of file as one message” and Read  Filebuffer size for better regex message separator handling.

  • Syslog Action: Backup Syslog Server is now tried on connect as well. Before, the backup server was only used when an existing connection to the primary server interrupted.

Bugfixes

  • Property Engine: Fixed daylight handling when using RFC3339 string conversion. Daylight was incorrectly always applied.
  • Property Engine: Fixed dynamic properties conversion when using xml output. This bug caused some properties to be missing when sending them by SETP protocol or using Syslog Cache mode.
  • Configuration reload: Fixed missing SNMP Mibtree after configuration reload.

MonitorWare Agent 12.0 released

Adiscon is proud to announce the 12.0 release of MonitorWare Agent.

MonitorWare Agent now supports latest Windows 2016 and Windows 10 Creators update build 1709.

New load balancing capabilities have been added. This permits to balance load between multiple target syslog servers.

The log normalization capabilities have been greatly enhanced via a completely new method. It provides greater speed, enhanced ease of use and support for more complex normalization capabilities.

File monitoring has been enhanced in various ways, most importantly by providing the ability to define message seperation via regular expressions.

Performance has been slightly optimized and some minor features have been added. Full details are available via the version history.
