MonitorWare Agent 26.08 Released

A new version of MonitorWare Agent is now available. Update 26.08 introduces the Message Ringbuffer action, allowing stored log and event data to be queried directly via the metrics endpoint, alongside a new local metrics dashboard with live message viewing capabilities. Core service updates also bring multi-wildcard path monitoring for file monitoring across nested folders, dynamic maximum connection backlogs for TCP listeners, and direct foreground configuration options.

Engine stability and thread safety receive widespread fixes in version 26.08. Concurrency improvements resolve lookup-cache data races in multi-instance Event Monitors, eliminate socket readiness races during shutdown, and harden TCP, RELP, and disk-cache recovery paths (including database work queues). Diagnostic logging has been upgraded with unique Event IDs, modernized queue handle lifecycles, and clearer troubleshooting guidance for TLS failures and licensing events.

Both administration interfaces see key workflow enhancements. The New User Interface closes remaining parity gaps in the Configuration Workbench, adds metrics security diagnostics, and introduces user-managed Event Log channel pins. Meanwhile, the Legacy Configuration Client adopts a simplified, file-based licensing model and ensures seamless configuration preservation across formats.
